Have you ever seen custom embroidery work and wanted to make it happen yourself? Well good news, Omaha Maker Group has the equipment and a class for it!
In this class, we’ll cover how to select and set up a design (from a custom design and/or stored on the machine), how to prepare your material for embroidery, and how to set up the equipment. Students are encouraged to bring an item to customize (tote, shirt, blanket, etc.) but materials will be provided to make a patch that could be added to other clothing or accessories.
Class is on Saturday, February 29th. Since space is limited, we’re holding 3 sessions limited to 3 people in each session. Each session will cover the same topics.
- Session 1 – 2:00PM to 2:45PM
- Session 2 – 3:00PM to 3:45PM
- Session 3 – 4:00PM to 4:45PM
Sign up at our BetterUnite event page. Class is open to members and non-members alike, so come join us!
Hello! I work for an accountant and during “tax season” have no time off. Will this class be offered after 4/15? I quilt and would love to learn to embroider. Thank You!
Hi Susan,
Thank you for reaching out, we do intend to schedule these classes again but we don’t have a specific date for them yet. We’re doing about 1 class a month right now.
I have it marked down as a request, and I’ll get in touch when we get it back on the schedule.
Thanks!
– James
